The Griot

by Ivrydbook

The Griot sat cross-legged on the warm, red sand of the African desert, surrounded by a small group of attentive listeners. He strummed an ancient stringed instrument, weaving a captivating melody that filled the air with the sounds of Africa. With each pluck of the strings, he told the stories of old tales of brave heroes and wise sages, love and loss, imagination and reality.

The stories were a window into Africa’s past—a way for the audience to connect with the culture and history of the continent. At the end of each story, the Griot would pause and let the music wash over the listeners before continuing to the following tale.

The stories were full of lessons, and with each one, the Griot reminded the listeners that Wisdom and knowledge are necessary for a good life. He reminded them that adventure and exploration are often more rewarding than a life of comfort and security. He also reminded them that, even in times of difficulty, it is essential to remain faithful to oneself and never give up.

At the night’s end, the Griot bowed and thanked his audience for listening. He told them that the stories and music of Africa will always be with them, and it is up to each person to make the most of their life.

The Story’s Moral is that Wisdom, knowledge, and adventure are necessary for a good life, and it is essential to remain faithful to oneself in times of difficulty.

A Note for mom and dad

“People who do not get along with themselves can never get along with you. People who do not like who they are can never like you? So do not ignore the red flags. Teach your little ones early how to identify toxic people and how to stay very far away from them.Life is too short.Do not waste precious life, and time loving people who NEVER want to get along with you or have peace with you.” – Ivrydbook
