Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground pork sausage
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the ground pork sausage, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried sage, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, in a rectangular shape, roll out puff pastry about 12 inches by 8 inches.
- Cut the pastry into 6 rectangles. Spoon the sausage mixture onto each pastry rectangle and form it into a log shape down the center.
- With the beaten egg, brush the edges of the pastry. Next, roll up each pastry rectangle, starting from one of the long sides, and seal the edges with your fingers.
- Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Then place the rolls. Brush the tops with more beaten eggs.
- Bake the sausage until cooked; the pastry is golden brown for 30-35 minutes.
- Let the sausage rolls cool for a few minutes before serving. Then, you can serve them cold or hot, with ketchup, mustard, or any other dipping sauce you like.
Enjoy your delicious homemade sausage rolls!
