Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak work well)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Season beef with pepper and salt on both sides.
- Mix minced garlic, chopped thyme, chopped rosemary, and olive oil in a small bowl.
- Rub the garlic and herb mixture onto both sides of the beef.
- Place beef on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side for medium-rare or until the desired doneness.
- Remove the beef from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the grilled beef with your favorite roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes.
Other serving suggestions:
- Top the grilled beef with a pat of butter for an extra burst of flavor. Mix softened butter with chopped fresh herbs and minced garlic, roll it into a log, and chill until firm. Slice off a pat and place it on top of the hot beef.
- Serve the grilled beef with a tangy chimichurri sauce made with parsley, garlic, red wine vinegar, and olive oil. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth in a food processor.
- For a lighter side dish, serve the grilled beef with a simple arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette. Bon appetit!
