The West African Traditional Region had a great goddess named Ezenwanyi. SHE of Ten thousand names. Ezenwanyi is the goddess of the seven seas and is known to be the most powerful and wise goddess in all the land. 

Ezenwanyi is a kind and compassionate goddess who loves all creatures, big and small. She would often take the form of a mermaid to swim with the fish and dolphins in the sea.

Ezenwanyi’s powers are vast and many. She controls the sea’s tides and currents and protects ships from dangerous storms. She also heals any illness or injury with her magical powers. Ezenwanyi protects all living things; all who know her feel her compassion and love.
