There was a kingdom called Hastinapur. In this kingdom, two groups of cousins lived the Pandavas and the Kauravas. The Pandavas were five brothers, Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva, and their mother was Kunti.

The Kauravas were a hundred sons of King Dhritarashtra and his queen, Gandhari. The Pandavas and the Kauravas were always competing with each other, but they remained close. Then, one day, the Pandavas and Kauravas decided to have a game of dice, which the Pandavas lost. As a result, the Pandavas were exiled for thirteen years and had to go to the forest.

During their exile, the Pandavas encountered many challenges but overcame them with courage and strength. After completing their removal, the Pandavas returned to Hastinapur to reclaim their kingdom.

The Pandavas and the Kauravas were now ready to fight for the kingdom. So the great battle of Kurukshetra, known as the Mahabharata, began. The battle lasted for 18 days, and in the end, the Pandavas emerged victorious.

The story of the Mahabharata is one of strength, courage, and friendship. It is a timeless tale of good versus evil and the power of love and loyalty.
