Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the ground pork sausage, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried sage, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, in a rectangular shape, roll out puff pastry about 12 inches by 8 inches.
  4. Cut the pastry into 6 rectangles. Spoon the sausage mixture onto each pastry rectangle and form it into a log shape down the center.
  5. With the beaten egg, brush the edges of the pastry. Next, roll up each pastry rectangle, starting from one of the long sides, and seal the edges with your fingers.
  6. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Then place the rolls. Brush the tops with more beaten eggs.
  7. Bake the sausage until cooked; the pastry is golden brown for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Let the sausage rolls cool for a few minutes before serving. Then, you can serve them cold or hot, with ketchup, mustard, or any other dipping sauce you like.

Enjoy your delicious homemade sausage rolls!

Bon appetit!
