Caesar Salad with Leafy Greens and Croutons

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of croutons
  • 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 boneless chicken breasts, cooked and sliced(Optional)
  • Caesar salad dressing

Instructions:

  1. Wash and chop the romaine lettuce and place it in a large salad bowl.
  2. Add the croutons to the salad.
  3. Grate the parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the salad.
  4. Slice the chicken breasts already cooked and add them to the salad (Optional)
  5. Drizzle Caesar salad dressing over the top of the salad.
  6. Toss to combine all the salad ingredients.
  7. Serve immediately.

Other styles and ingredients:

  • Add chopped whole spinach or kale to the romaine lettuce for extra nutrition.
  • For a vegetarian option, replace the chicken with tofu or tempeh.
  • Add some cherry tomatoes or roasted red peppers for extra color and flavor.
  • Use dressing, such as ranch or balsamic vinaigrette, for a different flavor.
